"Stronger than Sarcopenia" Live Event
Understanding High Blood Pressure and Sarcopenia
Among Older Americans
In observance of Older Americans Month, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office on Women’s Health (OWH) hosted a Facebook Live event, “Understanding High Blood Pressure and Sarcopenia Among Older Americans.” A panel of experts and advocates led this important discussion, shedding light on the relationship between sarcopenia—the loss of muscle mass and strength that becomes more common as you age—and high blood pressure, also known as hypertension, and how addressing one may assist with addressing the other.
